As the weather in Tel Aviv gets hotter with each passing summer day, people need a place where they can get a cold refreshing treat. Yogo Yogurt offers a healthy alternative to ice cream without giving up any of the satisfying taste.
The staff is all very friendly at Yogo. During my visit, the shop was extremely busy, but it still took only a few minutes to get my food. The interior is very clean and the servers are extremely attentive in helping customers personalize their desserts.
Yogurt is a snack you really don't have to feel guilty about eating. All their products are made from 1.6% low fat yogurt and have only 115 calories depending on the toppings. The location at the corner of Rothchild and Nachalat Binyamin makes it excellent for sitting outside on their beautiful patio to people watch or hang out with friends. Directly across the street from Yogo, there is a picturesque square with a fountain. It is an ideal situation if you want to take your yogurt to go. The setting is very relaxing.
Their signature and most popular product is called the "Yogo", which is a generous portion of Yogurt covered with fruit toppings and your choice of nuts and candies. They also offer a delicious dessert called the "U-Top". You get to select from a selection of yogurts made from cow, goat, sheep and buffalo milk that are then smothered with delicious fruit toppings and finished off with granola. In the winter months Yogo's most popular fruit topping is strawberry, but during the summer months Tel Avivians opt for the tropical mango. I recommend going with the cow milk yogurt, but if you have more adventurous taste buds and want to try something new, the buffalo yogurt has a very unique flavor. The crunchy granola is a great complement to the icy smooth yogurt. Besides yogurts, you can order one of their "U-MIX" smoothies that blend together exotic fruits and their signature frozen yogurt.
Yogo offers a variety of topping choices including halva, coconut, peanut, homemade brownie, berries, jelly beans, meringue granola, and nuts. If you are in the Rothchild neighborhood and have a hankering for something sweet, check out Yogo Yogurt. You won't be disappointed.
