Absolute pandemonium is the best way to describe the Nine West Spring 2009 Collection Launch this past Thursday in Dizengoff Mall.  Shoes in every size and style were strewn all over the store as women took advantage of the 40% discount available the evening of the launch.  While I did not shop I maneuvered my way around the room to take quick photos and check out the new merchandise.  Amid the disarray there were so many new, beautiful shoes, purses, and hats I began to wish I had not “forgotten my credit card.” 

Nine West’s creative director, Fred Allard, and his designing team did an incredible job setting the trends for handbags, footwear, and other accessories to make an amazing collection.  Fred has outlined four types of sandals for this 2009 spring collection. 

Urban warrior sandals are a new, flat sandal that can be paired with anything from skirts and summer dresses to even shorts.  Be prepared to see neutral colors and lace-ups for this style of sandal.  A wonderful example to start you out with that fierce look is the Sorcerer.  These bohemian, suede lace ups on a low heel and rubber sole will make you never want to take them off.

Just in case you do decide to switch up your Urban Warrior sandals for something a little spicier take a look at the innovative platform sandals.  They go great with crop pants and also formalwear.  These wooden heeled sandals are with exotic leather and are offered in vibrant colors as well.  Kwest’s mixture of fuchsia and purple make any diva drop her guard for this rainbow multi color pop.         

Fred Allard was inspired by all of the studding, beading, and metal accents on the runway this season so he decided to incorporate it into this spring collection.  Studs can be fun on sandals, like the Kentaro, a studded leather strappy sandal with zip entry and a 4 inch heel.  Studs, beads, and metal are glamorous, but also offer a strong professional appearance.

Wedges are currently the “staple” to any wardrobe.  These easy to wear and trendy sandals provide versatility and a little edge to any outfit.  Rusty wedges will ensure that you have a good time no matter where you are headed.  These sandals have an attractive twisted leather detailed vamp, a sculpted foot bed, multi strap front, and a double buckle closure that will fit with any colorful top and jeans for a night out. 

Nine West is not all about the shoes-they also carry marvelous handbags and clutches to complement any sandal.  I will not spoil the surprise, but the purses come in every pattern and color you could want to make your outfit complete.

Nine West is open Sunday through Friday from 10:00AM till 10:00PM.  They are closed Saturdays.
