Shablul Jazz Club is a cosy, intimate way to experience the best in jazz music.
Located at the picturesque, beautifully renewed Tel Aviv Port, the bar is tastefully decorated with exposed brick walls and black and white prints on the walls depicting famous jazz singers and musicians.
Shablul Jazz Club is unrivalled as the home of contemporary Israeli jazz. There are live shows each night, featuring local jazz bands, as well as international acts.
Seating is limited, so it is recommended to come early for a performance in order to get the best view. The limited size of the venue makes for an intimate atmosphere, so you can look the performers right in the eye as they play from the stage.
The lighting is soft and romantic with individual candles at each table.
Recently, Israel's finest jazz singer, Mazi Cohen took to the stage with her band, to deliver a superlative concert of jazz hits. Her strong, resonant voice worked in harmony with the acoustics and outstanding sound of Shablul Jazz Club.
It is clear that Mazi Cohen sings from the heart and performed with professionalism and infectious enthusiasm.
The audience participated in one of her songs, and the sound of a room of people engaged in song really reflected the intimacy of the venue. Shablul is truly the perfect bar for an evening of relaxed, soulful jazz.
During the performance, food and drinks, including an extensive wine collection are served at the table.
The menu features light and tasty food, including sandwiches and pita with toppings such a roasted peppers, green olives and rocket.
A tasty option is a sandwich with smoked salmon, aoli, basil and roman lettuce or the peppered roast beef and mustard (all 38 NIS).
Nachos with salsa are also available (20 NIS) and the soup of the day (28 NIS).
The dessert on offer is a duet of nougat and Belgian chocolate (22 NIS).
Shablul Jazz Club is located at Hanger 13, Old Tel Aviv Port, Tel Aviv. Concerts begin at 9pm and there is a free concert each Friday at 5pm.
