The Theatre of the Body is a school and stage for a physical theatre, founded in 2003 by No'am Me'iri, Nelly Amar and Gil Bachar.
The Theatre of the Body is a first of its kind in Israel, established according to a model of Jacques Lecoq's school of theatre and movement in Paris.
The physical theatre emphasizes the combination among body-movement-space-text. The actor, the dancer and any other stage artist, creates a total theatrical illusion through his virtuosic work.

STUDY TRACKS
Professional Training in Physical Theatre
This is a two- year track of study for people with experience in the basics of theatre and movement and for beginners who are interested in obtaining professional training as actor - creators of physical theatre.

Specialization studies:
This is a one-year study track for actors, dancers, and other professional performing artists, which will endow the participants with the tools for original creations using the techniques of physical theatre.

Physical theatre workshop:
This is a program of study for theatre enthusiasts who are interested in an experiential encounter with the basic tenets of the physical theatre.

The stage of The Theatre of the Body – is a unique framework to promote creators, students and school graduates that enables a professional stage for presenting projects and original performances of students in all tracks in front of the general public. The concluding performances and the special projects participate in festivals and cultural events in TLV and around the country.
